Many of us have worked for BK Orchard Developments for well over 10 years, building significant industry knowledge and expertise. Across the team we have well over half a century of experience that our clients benefit from, while we're always looking for ways to improve and innovate.

Tim Paton

As one of BK's Owner/Directors Tim is responsible for client relationships, communications and business development. Tim's focus is to ensure clients are well looked after and get the best possible outcome when choosing BK to work as a partner on their orchard.

Wayne Pittams

Wayne is another of the Owner/Directors of BK and leads the Operations side of the business. He has been heavily involved in the construction industry for well over 20 years as a business owner and project manager. From kiwifruit orchards, farm conversions and a myriad of industrial and commercial developments, Wayne has pretty much done it all.

Adrian Toft

Adrian has recently joined BK as an owner. After many years working around New Zealand and overseas with his own businesses, and as CEO of a number of business turnarounds.

Adrian is driven by values based businesses that are centred around integrity, collaboration, team work, are client centric and creators of innovative solutions. Adrian is excited to be learning as much as he can about kiwifruit and how BK can support and protect grower's investments.

Steve Byles

Steve is BK’s longest serving employee, having worked for the company for well over 17 years – he claims it’s so long that he’s lost count of the years and has (conveniently) forgotten when he started. Steve is a genuine master of orchard construction, repairs and maintenance. If Steve can’t mark it out, construct it or fix it, chances are nobody can – but that hasn’t happened yet!

Che Ngapo

Che is a veteran of orchard construction, having worked in the industry for well over 15 years. There’s not much that Che hasn’t built on orchards, particularly when it comes to vertical shelters and overhead hail net protection. Che’s role as Field Manager sees him working across multiple BK projects, ensuring we make the most of his vast experience.

Manu Chaves del Valle

Manu joined the BK cloth team 4 years ago working on high shelters and overhead structures before being promoted to his current role at the Depot where he prepares client estimates, works with suppliers and is unquestionably the office joker.
